- JITC - been around for two years
- Dynamic compilers
- Static native compilers
  - Exist for x86 (Symantec)
  - Been promised RSN for two years on PPC
Mac implementations must do better!
- Twice as fast two years ago; a tenth as fast now
- PPC should rock for Java
  - The M68000 emulator
  - VirtualPC
